Sustainable Production

All Wool & Water products are made exclusively from wool or cotton and are therefore 100% organic. By hand (this should be clear by now) and with a hand-operated sewing machine from 1979, each piece is produced with due attention. No electricity or polyester is used and the products are not chemically treated. Wool & Water thus provides the enlightened man with detailed, unique pieces without harming the environment.

The Story of Wool & Water

Wool & Water was founded in 2013 in the heart of Amsterdam and offers exactly what the real dandy needs to stand out in one of the most striking countries in the world. And now you are probably thinking: "That's all well and good, but how much will that cost?" or "there must be a factory full of hard-working workers behind it". The answer is no. The prices are reasonable and the suspenders are made by a lady who appreciates the company of threads and buttons more than anyone else. Alice, an English actress (among others Silent Witness and Doctor Who ), had to learn first hand that working on a film set consists mainly of waiting. To shorten the waiting time, Alice taught herself to knit and has been spending her time between the lines with manual work. This may sound cute, but it is not at all. In 2013, Alice successfully completed her studies as Knitwear Designer at the Knit One University in Brighton. Alice then moved to Amsterdam and became the owner of Wool & Water. Judging by the number of products, Alice is obviously still a passionate actress.
